Fidgeting, difficulty participating in quiet activities, wandering and excessive talking are also typical behaviors.

Although all children may exhibit one or more of these behaviors at times, it is when this behavior is excessive or interferes with their ability to learn or make friends that it becomes a problem.

To the parent of a child that exhibits hyperactive behavior, you need to know that there is hope for your child. If your child is preschool age, you are concerned about how your child is going to handle a classroom situation. Perhaps your child is already in school, in which case you are probably aware that the hyperactive behavior may make your child a target for bullying or ostracism by classmates. More importantly schoolroom disruptions could not only affect your child’s ability to learn, but relationships with educators.

Now he is so articulate, compassionate and happy (with appropriate energy levels) that it’s hard to believe he was ever any other way.

One of the first treatment suggestions when a child is diagnosed as hyperactive is usually medication. Unfortunately, medication whether natural or synthetic, does not address the underlying cause of the hyperactive behavior which is the brain. At some point, neural pathways in the brain have been compromised, meaning that true improvement is only result from a program aimed as healing the parts of the brain causing the hyperactive behavior.

At The Family Hope Center we are able to identify the areas of the brain where pervasive injuries prevent the child from processing information correctly. Whether the injury is in the cortex, especially the temporal and frontal lobes, or in the midbrain area, we employ therapies and procedures that target those specific areas. Without using drugs, injections or invasive surgery, we develop a program that will improve brain function and restore normal development.

The therapies we use address the whole child, including the metabolic and neurological, as well as physical health. Brain development and healing is dramatically improved by a therapy regimen that increases oxygen delivery to the brain. By treating the brain, the source of the problem, many symptoms begin to disappear.

Our Staff will develop a personalized diet that is geared towards increasing neurotransmitter function of the brain. This cleansing diet also restores gastrointestinal health, while eliminating hypersensitivity to allergens and toxins. Results are often immediate and dramatic as poisons are flushed from the body and proper nutrients aimed at health and healing are absorbed.

Our approach is aimed at creating a team between the child, the parents and our Team. Once trained by our specialists in the techniques and procedures developed to promote healing, parents, family and loving caregivers can be the best therapists for their child. We do not follow conventional wisdom that says only a medical or therapeutic specialist can administer effective treatments. Instead, your child will receive the correct therapy, administered by you, in the required intensity and frequency, necessary to demonstrate a significant improvement.
