Unusual Characteristics and Behaviors

Parker was a healthy baby, then at approximately 18 months old, we noticed many, unusual characteristics and behaviors. He began to have terrible temper tantrums, did not want to have friends come to play, hated going to the park, and would only eat certain foods. His language was delayed but my doctor told me not to worry, he was a boy and things would change as he got older. It did not change, it got worse. We went to several different developmental behaviorists who suggested taking him from one therapist to the next. I did not want to spend my days that way. The Family Hope Center enabled me to be the therapist and take control of my child’s destiny. After three years of implementing the home program that Matthew and Carol designed specifically for our son, we have experienced many miracles. Parker tells wonderful stories, belly laughs and has many friends! He loves the park, loves having parties at our house and is enrolled in a normal private school. He has a great appetite and has been extremely healthy. I take nothing for granted and feel blessed every day when I see him so happy. I truly could never imagine the child who first met Matthew and Carol would be the child he is today! Thank you Family Hope Center, Matthew and Carol for loving Parker when at times we did not know how to, and for giving our family Hope when we desperately needed it! We love you all! There is a quote that comes to mind when thinking of Matthew and Carol and The Family Hope Center. It reads, “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." I still remember the day, after 18 months of searching for help for our son Parker, that Matthew and Carol revealed the truth to us. After a thorough evaluation, they helped us fully understand our son and life from his perspective. We were given an explanation for his behavior, and received a program to help him. It was the first time we had HOPE in our quest to help Parker.
