Globally Delayed

"Globally delayed" was the diagnosis that this testimony of Gracie Stenger reveals to be totally in error. See what the Family Hope Center has done for this little girl.

Gracie Stenger

“When our daughter Gracie was nine months old, she only crawled on her belly with her right leg in the air or hanging to her side. She only used her right hand in a fist when crawling. She didn't say any consonant sounds. No baba, dada, mama, no gibberish at all. Any time we put her in a sitting position she would fall over. We realized after evaluating her that she could not feel her right side very well. She had very little (if any) reaction to very loud, startling noises.

Gracie’s pediatrician said that all kids develop at different stages and that she should learn to do more in time. There was no sense of urgency, even though I had been asking about her lack of mobility for four months. He just said that she would probably be "globally delayed" (forever!).

I was aware of Matthew and Carol, and they were the first people I called to help me when I realized that Gracie had real and disturbing issues. I also tried Cranial Sacral therapy and chiropractic therapy (one time each) and I think they helped. But nothing is as powerful as the program at The Family Hope Center.

Within a week of starting our program, Gracie was feeling her right side much better. Soon she was able to sit up without falling over. She started using both legs while crawling on her belly. After about six weeks she was creeping on her hands and knees and holding her own weight while standing. Her speech or baby sounds started soon as well - after about four weeks of the program.  We did an intensive program with Gracie for about six months. After that time she was just about caught up with her age group. We continued a brain development program with her, but not as intensively. Now, she is more advanced than her age group in almost every area. At her fifteen month check up, her pediatrician said she was amazed at Gracie's progress. She said "I wondered if I'd ever see her doing these things." She was referring to walking, mobility, and speech.

Gracie is now 22 months. She is so bright and curious. She constantly amazes people how perceptive she is. She is also a little dare devil. She is not afraid to try anything.
During my intensive program, I felt an obligation to Gracie to give her every opportunity. I just kept thinking of her being 10 years old and wanting to play soccer and not being able to because of her mobility issues (among other issues that would have arisen I'm sure). I am continuing with a basic program, because I have witnessed the amazing results in other kids.”
